Massini Group believes small business has a duty and unique opportunity to be involved and serve local communities. Through volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club of the Flathead Reservation in Montana, Massini Group President Devon Cox became aware of an opportunity. While many in the community work to ensure kids in the community have gifts around Christmas time, many of the kids were not able to realize the full spirit of Christmas that they had in their hearts. Massini Group wanted to help the kids in the club feel the gift of giving and inspire generosity.

Massini Group worked with the club to help kids make Christmas wishes come true for the special people in their lives. The kids were given a writing exercise.

Boys and Girls of the Flathead Reservation has clubs in 3 communities; Ronan, Polson and St. Ignatius Montana and serves over 1,000 kids through its various programs and offerings. BGCA staff worked to select letters across the three clubs from kids who were selfless and thoughtful with their responses.

Through their partnership with Massini Group, staff was able to fulfill these wishes for dozens of kids. The children were able to give gifts to mothers, fathers, aunts, friends, mentors and others in their lives. Other local businesses caught the spirit and got involved to help children in the community feel the spirit of giving. A local beauty salon was able to stretch the program budget greatly by offering full spa days for the price point that was set in the program.

Now in its second year the program has expanded to include the Boys and Girls Club of the Greater Santiam.
